「MONOCYCLE」is the 26th episode out of 39 total, and the 13th (and last) episode of season 2.

Characters[]

Summary[]

Popee keeps unintentionally killing people with his new monocycle, practicing an act.

Plot[]

The episode starts with a shot of the sky, before the camera pans down to show Kedamono polishing a bomb. A unicycle goes past him and he looks up to see Popee on the unicycle. Popee does tricks such as a one-handed hand stand on the unicycle and Kedamono claps. Popee then extends the unicycle higher, to which Kedamono reacts in surprise and tries to discourage Popee. Popee simply responds by smiling and giving Kedamono a thumbs up.

It cuts to Popee riding the unicycle while Kedamono watches worriedly, then with surprise when he sees the frog hop in front of the wheel. Popee sees this as well but it's too late to stop the unicycle. The frog is crushed. Kedamono's mask depicts crying when he watches this.

At what appears to be dawn, Popee and Kedamono stand over the frog which has a tire track running across its body. Kedamono is still crying. Popee looks angry before imagining a scenario with him riding the unicycle again with people cheering and he starts laughing.

The next scene is the next day. Kedamono is polishing a bomb again, while Popee rides the unicycle. Kedamono watches, but then panics upon realizing that the unicycle is much higher than before while doing a hand stand and laughing. The unicycle rolls towards Papi and Paola, the former working on the latter's wheels. Popee reacts with horror, but it's yet again too late to stop the unicycle. They're both crushed and Kedamono watches, his mask again depicting crying.

At dawn again, Popee and Kedamono stand over Papi and Paola, the former lying on his stomach and the latter tipped on her side. They both have unicycle tracks across them. Popee is angry again before laughing. Kedamono looks at him with worry, then shakes his head before walking away. He stops after a short distance, looks back at Popee, then his mask depicts a frown, before being replaced with a smile.

The unicycle is in a pile of bombs with a cord leading a distance away with a switch that Kedamono has his foot on. He nods then looks around before activating them, sending the unicycle flying into space. Kedamono's mask then shows a smile as he nods.

Again, Kedamono is polishing a bomb. This time, Popee isn't on the unicycle, but is instead running around looking for it while Kedamono looks happy with this. Popee looks around but is unable to find it until he smiles and sees the unicycle extending to the sky. Kedamono's smiling mask falls to reveal one of surprise and then frustration as he shakes his head. Popee runs towards the unicycle, which is revealed to be ridden by the alien, who imagines himself as part of the circus while riding the unicycle. Suddenly he rolls over something which is revealed to be Popee, who is now lying on his stomach with a tire track across his back. Kedamono is running away from the unicycle before running into God, but the unicycle stops and it turns out the alien ran face-first into a satellite, and then he falls down.

The scene changes to a panning shot of a bunch of graves before landing on Kedamono who is sitting in a chair and watching the UFO Girls and laughing until the satellite explodes, causing the TV to turn off and Kedamono's mask turns into a crying mask, and the episode ends.
